The one mistake that I made in making a simple LED circuit is that I put the wires in the wrong column so that they wouldn't connect to what else was in the column. I had to move the wires over (from negative to positive and positive to negative). By connecting the batteries to the wires, keeping in mind the polarity of the LED, I got the LED to light up. The plan from this point is to create some more simple circuits and become more comfortable with creating circuits to eventually create more complicated circuits.
